Dear Co workers greetings in the name of Jesus who said blessed are merciful!
Being an evangelist I am so glad in sharing some words to you in this way. I pray and hope that these words may encourage you much to be more effective in the field of ministry.
In India according to the government reports we have around 2500 registered Christian organizations. Comparing the past, it is so good but the problem is still the majority of organizations are not ready in spreading gospel in un reached areas where there is no any Christian witness- or where the gospel should be preached very urgently. From 1980s we have been hearing that some of the Indians those who are living in rural areas as untouchable asked to our evangelists that ‘is Jesus is an Edible thing’?. That means they have never heard the name Jesus in their lives. After 1980s the number of missionaries and organizations increased but still those groups are remaining in the same position. Any way the number of churches are increasing like any thing. What is the secret behind this?. The secret is most of these new churches are not filled with any new souls of India but, here churches are splitting then the number of churches will be obviously increasing.
I can show you, seven churches in one small village where the population is less than 3000, and again one more church is coming among them instead of concentrating some other un reached areas. That is why the population of Christianity in India is still remaining same. Here we have to understand our India. Shall I give you a small picture about India …..
1. The biggest democracy in the world
2. Population of over One billion people, Christian population is 2.5%.
3. Predominantly agricultural with 64% of the labor force
4. Over million people are living in deep poverty
5. 200 million live below bread line
6. Over 1600 languages, 225 languages with alphabets.
7. 19 major religions
8. 20000 tribes or sub-casts
9. 600000 villages
10. 83% people are living in these villages out of total population.
11. 49.895 people are illiterate.
12. 500000 villages don’t have any Christian witness – no even single believer.
13. Thousands of missionaries are needed to reach the remaining people groups…….
STILL THE DOORS OF INDIA IS OPENED FOR GOSPEL THOUGH THE PERSICUTING IS INCREASING. Here after knowing this truth we can’t wait for some one. If we are not acting in this end time what would be our condition? We have the burden and actively involving as the Lord strengthen us. We are experiencing the explosive growth of our mission in number of missionaries and in the destinations……though we were concentrating only in the places where there is no any Christian witness. Our church planting wing is active in ten states and it has been divided into four regions. OUR ONLY AIM IS TO REACH THE UNREACHED AT ANY COST AND FOR THE SAME WE ALL ARE COMMITED AND DEDICATED TO SUFFER EVRY THING TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISION OF LORD JESUS CHRIST ENTRUSTED IN US.
We have made a master plan to reach the un reached at any cost. We plan that no one should be left from the gospel when we complete this mission by 2010.So I urge you to go as a missionary for south Asian countries – then you are taking a new decision to preach the gospel where it should be preached……..You are moving to the land where the majority of un reached in this world. If you won’t …..Then who would?..............
